Highly Intuitive

Congratulations – probably! You are highly intuitive a cause for celebration, and maybe, a little education.

As a highly intuitive person, your use of intuition is off the charts. This means that you can sense, hear, see or hear information available through your extra sense, the psychic ability that transcends your normal five senses. Being highly intuitive, you make most of your decisions based upon factors that others might call irrational, unreasonable or unprovable. You can’t help it. After all, how can you measure a gut sense, a premonition, a dream, a vision, and a way of knowing that can’t be mapped? You can’t. You are naturally equipped with the ability to send and receive information that comes from beyond the physical world. Because of this, you’ve probably already figured out that most of your intuitive-based perceptions are accurate and so, you follow them. Life has taught you that listening to your intuition gives you the edge in just about every situation. But it can also be confusing to be highly intuitive. As you might well know.

There are many forms of intuition. Are You Sensitive? You Might Be Psychic! outlines 12 forms of intuition, ranging from physical to spiritual. If you’ve scored more than 50 on this test, you are probably gifted in several, if not all, of these intuitive areas. Being intuitive in any one of these areas can have a profound affect on your life. Physical intuition can help you know what’s going on in others’ bodies. Mental intuition assists with conceptual clarity and spiritual intuition can open you to soulful insights and revelation. These many ways of accessing intuitively based information can create confusion for the highly intuitive person. What psychic sense should you most trust? Your inner wisdom? Your gut sense? Your body sensations? Your visions or inner-eye pictures? How do you know if you are receiving accurate data? If you are interpreting your invisible senses correctly? Because of the overload of intuitive data, highly intuitive individuals can often find it difficult to manage their gifts and make wise decisions. The sheer amount of intuitive information you have to deal with can be staggering. You can easily feel overwhelmed. This overload can leave you feeling overly sensitive or even easily manipulated. Learning about intuitive boundaries, ethics, discernment, and energy management in general can make all the difference in the world. If you find yourself confused rather than enthused by your intensive intuitive powers, you must, absolutely must, begin to hone and develop them, intelligently.

What’s the pay-off to studying and then applying your intuitive gifts? Take a walk through history. Most of the world’s greatest achievements began as intuitive flashes. The world’s religions started with supernatural revelation. Most innovative scientific theories began as intuitive flashes. The majority of the world’s far-reaching artists and entrepreneurs started were initiated by a vision, an intuitive inner knowing or divine disclosure. Through your intuitive connections to the great beyond, you stand poised to make significant contributions to humanity. But you have to be careful. Judge carefully. Is your intuition getting you the results in life that you need and want? Is your intuition using you or are you able to use it as a tool? Does your use of intuition reflect your religious, moral or spiritual beliefs, or make you feel devalued and toxic? Reflect on your answer and then consider whether you need more knowledge and training or not. There are lots of sources for training, from churches to books to open-minded therapists to classes. A number of booklets are also available on www.mbspirit.net regarding intuitive and energy management. There are lots of resources – it’s worth your time!

Intuitive
What a great gift! While you are able to obtain knowledge and advice from external sources, like books, studies, television and various scholastic and information experts, you can also access one of the best-kept information taps in the world: Your own intuition.

As an intuitive person, you are able to use your natural ways of knowing to dig deep into reality. You can look beneath the surface of a presenting problem or circumstance to see what is really going on. You can read in between the lines and assess who is trustworthy or not. You can even project into the future, determining which actions might lead to the most prosperous outcome! You can perform these or any other number of intuitive tasks because you are a naturally intuitive person.

There are many forms of intuition, 12 in all, outlines in Are You Sensitive? You Might Be Psychic!  If you’ve scored intuitive rather than highly intuitive, you might be extremely gifted in a few of these types of intuition, or perhaps you are able to access each of them to some degree. In comparison to the highly intuitive person, you are probably balanced in your use of the sensory and the intuitive ways of understanding. That means you equally rely upon your practical and intuitive natures, mixing them like salt and pepper. Able to access information that others can’t see, hear or sense, you are able to support your flashes of intuitive brilliance with rational arguments, and conversely use your intuitive insights to evaluate seemingly logical facts. Because of this, people who know you well, and even some that don’t, would most likely describe you with words like perceptive, creative, aware and observant. Little do they know that many of your perceptions come from the invisible or spiritual side of reality!

Your greatest intuitive challenges might lie in two areas. If your intuitive gifts are higher in certain areas rather than in others, you might be overwhelmed with certain types of data. A high emotional intuitive person, for instance, can be inundated with others’ feelings. It can be hard to separate your feelings from others. If you receive a lot of visions or premonitions, it can be difficult to accurate intuitive insights from imaginative flights of fancy. Rather than excelling in a few intuitive styles, some natural intuitives are versed across the board. The challenge with being broad-based is one of deciding which intuitive sense to follow. Accessing several different types of psychic data can leave you confused or overwhelmed. There’s an easy solution! Your practical nature and thinking abilities make it relatively easy to take a pragmatic approach to intuitive development and boundary management. Reading books and taking classes, including those about psychological boundaries, energy management, healing and intuitive or spiritual development can help you gain quick control over and safe access to your intuitive gifts, and, show you the best ways to apply these innate abilities. For a start, search www.mbspirit.net for booklets, classes and teachers. Are You Sensitive, You Might Be Psychic! Will be available through this web site in late fall of 2003, as will be booklets by the same and other authors on the subject of intuition.

Functional Intuitive
Now, you can do life! You know which end is up, and what really counts. For you, the intuitive, invisible world is a supplement to everyday reality. Getting lost in the supernatural might be more nightmare than dream, but you can see the value of a little extra insight.

As a functional intuitive, you are aware of your innate intuitive gifts. For you, the intuitive is an addendum to information gathering, not a mainline approach. You prefer to make your decisions based on here-and-now facts and circumstances. It’s nice that others live life by the psychic, but you like putting one foot in front of the other – on a road that you can see rather than just sense, thank you very much.

You are what I would call a grounded person. You know that you have five regular senses. You were born with them. And you trust them. Yet, there is another side to life, and you know it. After all, you’ve experienced it! You know that there is a spiritual reality and that this reality reaches into the physical one. Perhaps your experience of the intuitive, that way of receiving or sending supernatural information, has been mainly positive, or even negative, but you believe that the invisible does exist and that you can connect with it.

As a functional intuitive, you are most likely interested in the forms and types of intuition that can make your life better. You want your intuitive inflow to build your functionality. Because of this, you would benefit from a very practical approach to intuitive development or management. The most important first step is determining whether or not you have one or two main intuitive gifts or if you use all of them on an equal basis. There are 12 basic forms of intuition, covering the most primary areas of life to the most spiritual of concerns. These 12 types of intuition and the differences between your senses and intuition are discussed in Are You Too Sensitive? You Might Be Psychic, which can be ordered in fall of 2002 through mbspirit.net. By pinpointing your strengths and weaknesses, you can hone an intuitive style until it’s reliable and trustworthy. If your gifts are equally dispersed, you can select which of the many styles might fit best with your personality and spirituality and use it as an adjunct to your common sense approach to life.

How do you go about deciding which intuitive style to stress? First, figure out which area of your life is most important to you: Your home, physical health, emotional life, education, finances, relationships, communications, career, spiritual well-being. After deciphering your goals, you can match your area of interest with the natural, body-based intuitive styles. Booklets by the author of this test and other experts are all available over mbspirit.net. Remember. Intuition needs to be cultivated to work well. Let it work for you.

Low Intuitive
You are one real-life person! You like to be grounded in the tangible world, a world that stays the same when you blink your eyes. Even yet, your intuitive abilities stand close by, ready to work for you. You may just have to look with different eyes!

As a low intuitive, you aren’t as connected to your natural psychic insights as more intuitive people. You might be aware of one particularly strong mystical gift. Maybe you’ve experienced episodes of religious meaning or spiritual brilliance, and these stand out in your mind. Know this, however. Everyone is intuitive. Being intuitive isn’t about supernatural phenomenon or demonic interludes. God gave us psychic abilities to supplement our regular five senses for survival purposes. What we do with our natural intuitive gifts on top of this is up to us.

Many low intuitives are actually very intuitive, but don’t know it. Sometimes, low intuitive adults were very psychic as a child. Negative feedback, scary psychic experiences or just plain growing-up can cloud our youthful abilities, as can life hardships or fear-based beliefs. Some low intuitives haven’t been exposed to information about intuition. It’s hard to use what you don’t know about. And other low intuitives are simply practical, down-to-earth people that don’t require a strong connection to the supernatural. You don’t need a thousand psychic pictures to paint a single Rembrandt! As a low intuitive, the question you might ask yourself is this: Are you satisfied with your current connection to the intuitive, or is their room for growth?

If you would like to increase your abilities, it’s important to understand your motives. Set goals. And then learn about your gifts slowly and thoroughly. It’s not helpful, or safe, to begin dabbling in the invisible without assistance and clear guidelines. The psychic is best used when developed with boundaries, ethics and determination for good. Of course, through prayer or meditation, you can open to godly input, which is about as secure as you can get. Using prayers meaningful to your religious base, begin asking God for intuitive input. Ask for pictures, senses, messages or guidance for whatever is important to you. Your intuition doesn’t quibble about the significant versus the menial. You can receive direction for issues ranging from choosing a grocery store to picking a mate.

Like your life the way it is? Then enjoy it! You can turn to the intuitive when you need to, especially for daily or spiritual guidance, but if your life is working, congratulations! If you can see the benefit of opening your natural intuitive gifts, do so. Slowly. Wisely. Seek learning and training through people and places that you trust. Does your place of worship talk about intuition or the spiritual gifts? There are several good books out about the subject, including E-booklets by the author of this test and other experts, available through mbspirit.net. Enhancing your innate intuition can be a fun and exciting process for you, in fact, even a delightful one.

Under Intuitive
Now, not for one minute, do I believe that you are as dead to your intuition as you might portray yourself. Conversely, you are probably one intuitive giant! The question is, where is your intuition hiding?

Under intuitive individuals usually have a good reason for disassociating from their innate ability to send or receive psychic information. These reasons may be conscious or unconscious, healthy or unhealthy. Before you even begin to tap the world of the invisible, it’s important that you first determine why you seem so cut off to the natural world of energy.

You see, everything’s made of energy. And all energy is loaded with information. If you are unaware of your sensitivity to information that transcends the normal five senses, you are probably blocking your conscious reception. That doesn’t mean you aren’t always bombarded with psychic information, or sending psychic messages out left and right. It just means that you aren’t attentive to that fact.

Don’t worry. A lot of people aren’t. But you may want to figure out why.

On one side, people sometimes “shut down” to the intuitive because of childhood problems. Other reasons include fear of the unknown, exposure to dangerous psychic phenomenon, spiritual beliefs, life traumas, lack of education and mental health or medical conditions. Other people tune out the intuitive because it’s smart for them to do so. Maybe you are so sensitive inside, you don’t need more stimulation! Maybe your inner spiritual life is so rich, it’s unimportant to open to external input. Or, perhaps you are simply hard-wired to be more sensory than intuitive. Being an under intuitive may be your destiny. You may be exactly how God has designed you to be! A thumbnail assessment includes checking yourself honestly for happiness, health and energy. Are you happy with your life? Are others happy with you? Are you healthy, meaning, living a life that’s balanced and meaningful? Do you have energy for what’s important to you? Are you able to give energy lovingly to others? If you feel great being an under intuitive, be what you are.

If you feel pulled to the intuitive, to the spiritual or the religious, I would encourage you to take another look at the reasons for being under intuitive. If you are under intuitive because of life’s difficulties, I would heartily encourage you to first examine the reasons you are repressed before cracking into the supernatural. You don’t want to open to the world of the invisible before you’ve dealt with that visible! Even if your professional advisor believes it safe for you to develop intuitively, take your time. Find a path that emphasizes boundaries, discernment, safety, goodness and spirituality. Know, also, that there are several teachers and authors who also link intuition with the healing process. When these concepts are applied under professional guidance, they can serve as true beacons of hope. There is much joy to be found in the unseen, but only after you first see what’s on your path.
